Navigating Failures in Your 20s: Elisa’s Un-passable N Test

Me Crying After Failing My 3rd Driving Test

One thing about me, is that I am the best Albanian driver you will ever meet. Another thing about me is that I am the WORST Canadian driver you will ever meet. I never knew driving skills could be ethnically explained until I self-reflected and took a long look in the mirror.

I started driving lessons when I was 15, which is younger than most. My dad has always wanted his girls to be strong and independent, which in his eyes means being the first out of all of your friends to drive.

My Parents’ Car After I Crashed it ;p

Unfortunately not only did I crush his dream by failing my N test 3 times, but also by getting a flat tire during my driving lessons. Oh, and also getting into a car crash… which ICBC claims I was 100% liable for…

Navigating failures in your 20s is inevitable, but it is such a transformative aspect of personal growth. Embracing failures as learning experiences can pave the way for self-discovery, resilience, and the development of crucial life skills. Whether it’s career setbacks, relationships, or in this case, my terrible driving record, each stumble becomes a stepping stone toward a more resilient and self-aware future. The key lies in adapting, learning, and understanding that failures are not roadblocks but rather detours on the journey to success.

I am sure that with practice I will be able to pass this obstacle. I will do everything and anything in my power in order to avoid taking the R5… My fourth N test is on November 14th, so stay tuned for the results!

Lots of love,

Elisa
